The Play

Synopsis: Initiated by his wife a man, never having been alone before, now faces a mid-life crisis of separation. With some unorthodox help from a professional Therapist, he sets about to discover his "other" self; this in turn, becomes a zany and bawdy  adventure he least expected. An original comedy / drama, "Happily Skipping a Beat " views in a comic way, the myriad problems of long-term relationships.

Showcase: The play was produced off-off Broadway as a showcase in 1999, at the the Grove Street Playhouse, under the title of 'If everyone is leaping thru the window, they must be jumping to conclusions'.   A review by a local cable TV station was very favorable.  After some script adjustments and recasting, the show went to off-Broadway with a new title, "Happily Skipping a Beat".
